Thanks to United States Senator Charles E. Schumer JFK International Airport was awarded $6.9 million by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) for taxiway improvements and pavement rehabilitation.
This grant was disbursed under the United States Depart of Transportation (DOT). The existing pavements are in very bad condition and this award will provide the funds to ensure airfield safety.
